Not a week goes by during which Teresa Risley doesn't make an effort to share the gift of tennis. Even during vacations, she connects with her tennis friends through Facebook and email, and she is very good about taking pictures of her and her friends' USTA teams and recreational tennis get-togethers.

Most of us know Grapevine's Robyn Readicker as the Dallas-Northeast Texas USTA representative, but she also was known among close friends as a loving softball mom to Abby Burns. Burns and Robyn's daughter, Jordan, were teammates at Texas Woman's University in Denton right up until last week.

USTA-leaguer Rick Ivey approached me at a TCU tennis match one day to tell me about his daughter and her friend, and why they would make a good article for TennisFortWorth.com. I told him what I tell everyone: "Thank you! People such as you help us fill the website's pages with good local stories. Email me details, and I'll get back to you very soon."

Junior Team Tennis is changing as it's growing, which is always better than remaining stagnant. One update I love is that Ridglea Country Club head pro Shawn Wooley has been the local Southwest JTT Coordinator for the past couple of months--and anything that involves tennis and Wooley is a positive thing.
