There are great tennis camps throughout the Greater Fort Worth area. Might even check out a few myself one of these days. But UNT coach Sujay Lama, who has coached the North Texas women since 2006, enjoys running camps so much that he stands out.
He has been running camps for 23 years—ever since he arrived in the United States in 1988! Lama has an extraordinary resume, and his love for the game is palpable.
“This is a passion of mine,” says Lama, who was born in Nepal and has lived in several countries, “and I love making a difference through tennis.”
Not only does coach Lama host camps for high school/junior players, but adults, as well. More to come about the camps, which I’m told are very popular.
We here at TennisFortWorth.com are making an effort to bring more news about college players, so coach Lama and UNT's outstanding Women’s tennis team are officially on our radar.
